Breaking Beyond hits screens on Red Bull TV and Insight TV’s Millennial global network of linear and digital channels.
Breaking Beyond, co-produced by Red Bull Media House and Villain Studios, follows world class breakers to discover the roots of breaking (breakdancing) and hip hop cultures from around the globe.
The new six-part docu-series explores the clash of cultures where the breakers are pushed out of their comfort zones. Each episode is set in a unique location where we see the breakers discover untold stories of the cities’ hip hop and breaking scene. Will the breakers embrace a different way of life or are their cultures too far apart? Take a deep dive into each city’s background and heritage, with an emphasis on breaking and hip hop.

EPISODE ONE: Junior introduces Shigekix to the city of Goma
Junior takes Shigekix on a special journey of local traditions, markets and, of course, the diverse elements of dance and hip hop culture in Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Find out what Shigekix learnt about Junior’s birthplace and what he had to say about his unique adventure in the city of Goma.
EPISODE TWO: Neguin shows Kastet the city of Sao Paolo
Follow Kastet as she visits Neguin in Brazil’s Sao Paolo. We’ll get a glimpse into the spicy mix that makes up the distinctive Brazilian flavor of breaking. Tag along with Kastet and Neguin as they explore Capoeira, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Passinho, as well as a local jam session and graffiti art.
EPISODE THREE: Ronnie and Neguin explore Las Vegas
Neguin explores Ronnie’s hometown of Las Vegas, USA. They uncover why the city is one-of-a-kind for dancers as they meet professional performers who make a living from their art. In this episode, viewers explore the birthplace of Ronnie’s breaking crew, Full Force Crew. Audiences also see Neguin put on the iconic Jabbawockeez mask and visit an underground breaking battle.
EPISODE FOUR: Shigekix takes Ronnie to Tokyo
Ronnie visits Shigekix’s hometown of Tokyo where he goes on a mind-blowing cultural and culinary journey of Japan’s capital city. Tokyo is one of the most iconic cities on the planet. Join Shigekix and Ronnie as they uncover Japan’s rich and fascinating culture that has evolved over thousands of years.
EPISODE FIVE: Junior discovers Rotterdam with Menno
Hip hop has a strong force in the Netherlands, with many people of all different cultures and backgrounds. Junior joins world renowned b-boy and three-time RedBull BC One World Champion, Menno, in the city of Rotterdam, where the Dutch breaking culture started. Together, they explore the Dutch breaking and hip hop scene, meeting local legends and crews.
EPISODE SIX: Red Bull BC One 2022 World Final returns to the birthplace of hip hop
The world’s biggest one-on-one breaking competition, Red Bull BC One 2022 World Final New York City, returns to the birthplace of hip hop. Each year, the competition brings together the world’s best b-boys and b-girls who strive for the coveted Red Bull BC One World Championship title.
World class breakers Ronnie, Junior, Neguin, Shigekix and Lee join hip hop pioneers, Grandmaster Caz and Alien Ness to discover the beginnings of hip hop culture in the Bronx.
