Last week Friday , Airburn Sounds released his fresh new single “Ngiya Hamba” . Built on existing musical relationships, the new single gives the producer room to experiment with a relaxed, relatable Amapiano groove.

As the festive season approaches and South Africans begin looking forward to warmer days, good music and nights out with friends, producer and DJ Airburn Sounds is dropped his new single, “Ngiya Hamba” alongsideLeemckrazy and Zuma, and featuring Mulest Vankay and Jon Delinger , last week Friday

“Ngiya Hamba” brings together a group of artists whose creative relationships have developed over time. Produced by Airburn Sounds, the track moves into a warmer, more relaxed, feel-good Amapiano direction, offering a change of pace from the grittier, street-influenced sound he has become known for.

Having worked with the featured artists across various projects, including unreleased material, the producer says the collaboration came together naturally, without the pressure of trying to manufacture a record around a particular trend.

“I wanted to make something that people can just enjoy. I make a lot of Sgidongo and street-influenced music, with that gritty sound, but I also want to explore other sides of myself as a producer. With the festive season approaching, the weather getting warmer, and people wanting to be outside, I felt like making something fun, something that both young and older listeners can relate to,” says Airburn Sounds.

The collaboration also reflects the producer’s long-standing relationships with the artists. He has known Jon Delinger since their earlier dayswhile his musical connection with Leemckrazy and Zuma has extended beyond this release, with other collaborations already in the works.

Leemckrazy recorded his contribution first, with Zuma brought into the process later. From there, the record developed organically, with Mulest Vankay also joining a creative circle in which Airburn Sounds has built considerable experience working alongside the vocalist.

Rather than approaching the song as a calculated collaboration, the team leaned into their existing chemistry. That familiarity helped create a record that feels easy-going and celebratory, while allowing each contributor to bring their own character to the music.

“Ngiya Hamba” is available on streaming platforms from Friday, 30 October 2026.
