Mr. Dutch Unveils Official Music Video for “Dodorima” Featuring Soweto Gospel Choir & Raybekah

Frobeat visionary Mr. Dutch premiered the official music video for his soul-stirring single “Dodorima,” featuring the Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir and acclaimed vocalist Raybekah. Released on Friday, June 6th, the breathtaking visual marked a bold chapter in African music and storytelling, launching alongside Mr. Dutch’s highly anticipated debut album, They Thought I Was Done.

Directed by Mr. Dutch himself, the video is a cinematic journey through themes of pain, healing, and spiritual redemption. Set against emotionally charged landscapes and powerful symbolism, Dodorima serves as a visual testimony of faith and triumph.

“This isn’t just a music video—it’s a visual prayer,” says Mr. Dutch.
“Dodorima is my story. I’ve been through darkness, and I wanted the world
to see how faith, music, and African culture brought me back to light.”

Rooted in Edo and Igbo languages, “Dodorima” translates to deep gratitude and spiritual truth. The song unites the soulful harmonies of Soweto Gospel Choir, the raw vocal brilliance of Raybekah, and the emotional grit of Mr. Dutch into one moving narrative.

The video also features a subtle appearance by Mr. Dutch’s iconic Afro Cyborg persona—a representation of inner strength, transformation, and divine guidance.

“Working with Mr. Dutch on this project was deeply spiritual,” shares
Soweto Gospel Choir. “It’s a celebration of praise through pain, of African
unity, and of music that heals.”

“Dodorima” is the first visual release from They Thought I Was Done—a genre-bending debut album that fuses Afrobeat, gospel, and Amapiano influences while chronicling Mr.Dutch’s evolution as an artist and survivor.
