Following the success of its Namibian retreat, The Singleton Escapes brought 150 of South Africa’s cultural tastemakers and consumers together at Nirox Sculpture Park for a sensory-led experience focused on togetherness, taste, and the mindful art of slowing down.

The Singleton Escapes invited guests to step beyond the ordinary, to pause, unwind, and rediscover the beauty in slowing down. It created moments of connection and curiosity, where food, art, music, and nature came together to inspire a deeper sense of discovery, all guided by The Singleton’s philosophy to“Savour the Single Moment.”

“We’re reshaping the way people experience the art of slowing down, unwinding and living in the moment,” said Ifeoma Agu, Group Head of Culture, Influencer and Advocacy at Diageo South, West and Central Africa. “Through The Singleton, we’re creating spaces that invite pause and celebration, where consumers can savour the brand’s depth and character in ways that resonate long after the moment has passed.

Guests embarked on an exquisite tasting journey while exploring The Singleton’s signature single malts paired with a curated gourmet menu. The vibrant 12-Year-Old delighted with citrus and seafood-inspired flavours, while the spiced elegance of the 15-Year-Old enhanced sumptuous mains of rump, chicken, and pork belly. The experience reached its pinnacle with the opulent 18-Year-Old, perfectly accompanied by decadent desserts like chocolate marquise, almond and lemon cake, and spiced poached pear. Each sip and bite reflected The Singleton’s hallmark, a meticulously crafted single malt offering unparalleled balance and refinement.
The one-day immersive experience also guided guests through curated touchpoints such as:
- Garden of calm: a mobile massage lounge that provided a serene mindfulness experience led by professional therapists, inviting guests to relax and reconnect through touch.
- A sensory escape through an aromatherapy experience where guests crafted personalised aromatherapy oils infused with vanilla, citrus, and oak, mirroring The Singleton’s tasting notes.
The Singleton Escapes at Nirox Sculpture Park proved to be more than just a getaway; it was a celebration of flavour, emotion, and fully embracing the present moment.
