Chuma says Amanda made her 21st birthday more special and even more memorable.
It started as a normal day to Chuma Lalendle, after her parents have told her that they won’t be able to throw her a 21st birthday party and promised her all will happen in December. Like every Saturday, since exams has commenced, she woke up early in the morning to go the campus to study.
This commerce final year student says she felt so disappointed and surprised to realize that the people, especially her family, whom she taught would take a bullet for her and her friends whom she taught would defend her in her absence, were not calling nor sending birthday wishes messages. She taught wonke umunto have forgotten her special day. Little did she know that this was a conspiracy that her brother and her friends have been planning for a week! Everyone was asked to send their birthday wishes via voice notes and via video, however not to her directly but to the organizers.
“It was so difficult to keep this as a secret, we tried so much, we even avoided her “,everyone explained!
Later that day when she came back home after her friends waited for her for hours to arrive, but finally she did. When she arrived she was taken aback to see what her friends and family have planned for her.
The Cake, décor, the food, drinks and everything was just perfect. The DJ playing wonderful music of her favorite female artist, Amanda black. As she was still stunned ,her brother,Mbasa, being the one who came with the idea together with his girlfriend, welcomed Chuma with a bunch of beautiful 21 fresh pink roses.
Her proud mom, who woke up early that day to prepare delicious meal for everyone, shared how she has watched her daughter grow to be a responsible and down to earth person. Chuma’s mom told everyone how Chuma has went through magical milestone but still remained positive and empathetic.
To attest to what she said her brother’s funny speech recalled to their childhood days. He shared how curious Chuma has always been and how adamant she has always been.
Chuma’s friends also shared their journeys and how they have met chuma.
When pastor Motsamai and his humbled better half, Pastor Princess Motsami, step down from the stage, they left everyone almost in tears, with mix emotions. Theirs was to remain us as youth to start appreciating the little things our parents are doing for us because they go through a lot to make us happy and sacrifices so much to give us what we need and want. They explained that her Chuma embodies a passion and zest for life that is infectious.
When the birthday lady thought that was enough and she couldn’t have asked for anything more, she was blown away to receive a call from her favourite female artist, the Award-winning musician Amanda black, whom currently got nominated for the BET awards .Chuma could not believe her ears, until Amanda sang to her and give her and wished her nothing but the best in life.
