Amazing Talent on Mzansi Magic’s New Telenovela Kwa Baba

The countdown is on for Mzansi Magic’s new telenovela, Kwa Baba with the first episode premiering this Monday, 01 June at 19:30.

Starring Vuyo Biyela, Rorisang Mohapi-Grootboom, Lindani Nkosi and Hlengiwe Lushaba-Madlala and more Mzansi talent, Kwa Baba is centered around love, traditional/cultural family obligations and some unresolved conflict. Also bringing this compelling story to life is a stellar cast that will ensure you keep coming back for more. They include:

  • Nhlanhla Mkhize (25) played by Khanyisani Kheswa (Umkhokha: The Curse, Shaka Ilembe) – He is Zwelakhe’s confidant and close cousin and hates the division his father is trying to sow between him and Zwe.
  • Mxolisi Khumalo (35) played by Nhlanhla Kunene (Adulting, The River) – He is a devoted son, the bridge-builder and a quiet hero who wants to make Khethiwe his wife happy, but has some challenges to overcome.
  • Nelisiwe Mkhize (29) played by Lungelo Madondo (Perfect Match). She is Mhlaba’s wife. Privately, she views her husband as a careless, entitled man who benefits from a family safety net she never had…. but she loves him.
  • Tsholofelo Motaung (20) played by Mosa Lekwene (Obstruction, Champions)- Tsholofelo is the last-born of the Motaung family, and she certainly acts like it. She is a free spirit and life of the party and has nothing to prove to anyone. She’s here for a good time, not a long time.
  • Dinana Motaung (25) played by Naledi Mfoloe (Empini) –  She is the second born daughter of Solomon Motaung’s. She is a Psychology Master’s student. Stern, strict, and lacks a sense of humour.
  • Mandla Hlatshwayo (32) played by Mpilo Khumalo(Lingashoni) – He has strong feelings for Bahumi because they used to date. Mandla would never harm a fly, but oh boy, is he petty! He is the kind of boyfriend who will beg and plead with you, hoping to be your knight in shining armour during a breakup.
  • Nomvula Radebe (55) played by Zinzi Nsele (Gqeberha: The Empire) – She is married to Vusumuzi Radebe and all she wants is for them to be together forever. Only one thing will make her get into a physical fight – that is if someone sleeps with someone else’s husband.
  • Vusumuzi Radebe (65) played by Simo Magwaza (Youngins, The Queen) – Nomvula’s husband, who is a quiet man respected in his community. Radebe will do anything in his power to protect his family; he doesn’t have much, but he has a wealth of wisdom, a loving family, and well-behaved daughters.
  • Senzeni Mkhize (65) played by Makhosazana Ndlovu (Isibaya) – She is the Mkabayi of the Mkhize family and hers is to bring peace and harmony in both the Mkhize homes.
  • Bangizwe Mbokazi (60), played by Ernest Ndlovu (Isibaya, Empini) – MaMbokazi and Senzeni’s brother with his own family in KZN. Bangizwe loves his sisters deeply, and he would go out to fight for them.
