Banda caught with Miranda Khumalo who is a student and founder of Non-Profitable organisation, Girls on Move.
Tell us about yourself.
Miranda Khumalo is a Retail Business Management student, in Sol Plaatje University. Dennilton Limpopo born is a single mother to a year old beautiful baby girl. Miranda is advocates of free society, non-sexiest and she is very feminist.
Tell us more about the organisation, its objectives, and goals..
Girl on the move is an initiative that is intended to help first year females adapt to the University lifestyle, and also take charge of their lives. It also assist young girls to focus on what is really important in life by encouraging them to take part in community projects and non-profit organizations.
Girls on the Move role in young girls in society…
We do not just pay attention to varsity students only ,we also intend to reach out to young girls in across the province and encourage them to make education their priority and show them bigger picture to be independent .This will change the cycle of teen pregnancy in the Northern Cape and poverty.
Plans for the future…
Girl on the move- aim on establishing certain activities and programmes which are not yet available at SPU, E.g. magazine as well as a radio station. Attract even more sponsors, as well as more members just to name the few of the ideas we have.
