Grant’s Brings In An Exciting New Era With Triple Wood – A Global Brand Refresh

 The world’s number three Scotch whisky-Grant’s Triple Good Sessions,  hosted by  the infamous Gran’ts global  brand ambassador, is coming to an end and is closing off with a whisky tasting soiree with headliner Dj Fresh.Taking place an end at an undisclosed venue, in Braamfontein, Johannesburg,is said to be explosive.

With over 10 years in the spirit industry and very first time in South Africa,Danny has been in Johannesburg  from 18th June till 20th June to host a series of Whisky Masterclasses, Whisky Deconstruction Sessions and an extensive Food / Whiskey Pairing Class at its best for the influencers, media and for our local  celebrities.

Whisky connoisseurs were taken through the art of whisky-making, learn about  how the use of wood plays an important role in the creation of Grant’s.  The Grant’s global ambassador together with our national brand ambassador Sandile Mthiyane, opened the floor for question and answers and he also explained that Grant’s is still using the same formula for the last 130 years, 60% of its flavour – drawn from cask influence, rather than being aged in just one type of cask.

The highlights was when the whisky lovers were introduced to the global brand refresh which includes striking new packaging with a renaming of its signature blend, a refined core range and a new direction for its communications campaign  .

As for the new whisky drinkers it was an amazing experience and they were  thought about the quality of the grain and barley used, how the whiskies are distilled and matured. The experience detailed an introduction to the basic methodologies of what gives grant’s a distinct taste. Tastings  consist of five grant’s whiskies, taken through them with care, shown exactly how best to taste them – a drop of water was  all you needed to bring out the flavours – and each spirit carries a strong history, and more than a few anecdotes to boot. The whiskies undoubtedly provide sensory pleasures, but the stories that come with them bring the real entertainment.

Launched globally from July 2018, Grant’s Triple Wood is a new way of communicating the superiority of the liquid through its whisky making process for a smooth, rich and mellow taste.

While other blended whiskies are declining, Grant’s continues to go from strength to strength, leapfrogging others to become the world’s number three Scotch whisky.
