With over 29000 participants in 2016, the iThemba Walkathon is the largest breast cancer awareness event in the Avon world which consists of over 50 countries. The 2017 edition will take place on Sunday, 22 October at Marks Park in Johannesburg and is limited to 35000 participants.

All participants are required to pre-register and can do so on ithembawalkathon.co.za at just R135 per adult and R90 per child. Registrations can also be made on printed entry forms obtainable from participating Sportsman Warehouse stores.

This will be the fourth time participants can dedicate their messages on the Tree of Hope, an immensely emotional part of the iThemba Walkathon.

Quite importantly participants can also select additional services such as the park-and-ride when they register helping to ensure they have a seamless experience throughout including on the morning of the event.

On the day, participants have loads of exciting activities to look forward to including live performances, meeting their favourite local celebrities including the Kaya FM presenters and e.tv personalities as well as the #PoutForAPurpose lipstick challenge
