Today, MANOR x EMPIRE proudly present DAY 2 of CAN YOU FEEL IT?!, spotlighting one of South Africa’s most electrifying young forces in dance culture KMAT.
Genre-defying DJ and producer KMAT is gearing up for the release of her electrifying new EP, YEHYEH, set to drop on Thursday, 27 November 2025. The vibrant, high-energy project showcases KMAT’s bold artistic evolution, offering a powerful 6-track journey rooted in resilience, creativity, and unstoppable momentum.
The EP features an explosive lineup of tracks, including “ANTHM,” “MAGUDZUMELA,” “GENTLE SHAYA,” “911,” “SAY,” “TERMINATOR,” “SUNA PAPA,” “ANTHEM,” and “GQOM.” With “Magudzumela”positioned as the official focus track, YEHYEH sets the tone for a new chapter in KMAT’s sonic universe. Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, KMAT shares: “YEHYEH is my winning era. It is my ‘undeniable’ era.”
Rooted in themes of humility, community, perseverance, and creativity, YEHYEH reflects KMAT’s journey of pushing boundaries and redefining what it means to exist beyond the frame. Each track carries a piece of her story—fusing raw emotion with her signature Amapiano energy. In “Magudzumela,” she echoes the power of music with the line: “Never underestimate the power of music to change your entire mood, energy, and vibration.”

Since emerging in 2020, KMAT has carved out an impressive musical path that continues to elevate Amapiano locally and globally. Born in Soshanguve, she transitioned from choral music to DJing, quickly becoming one of the genre’s most exciting young artists. Her highly acclaimed breakout Luminous Flame EP, viral success from multi-platinum tracks like “MKK,” and collaborations with heavyweights such as DJ Maphorisa, DBN Gogo, Felo Le Tee, and Boohle have cemented her as a trailblazer. With over 88 million streams, a YFM YTKO residency, a DJ Mag One to Watch 2024 recognition, and a Metro FM Award nomination, KMAT stands as a defining voice of South Africa’s youth culture.
A Collaborative Sonic Tapestry
The YEHYEH EP features an exceptional lineup of collaborators including DJ Cndo, Ch’cco, Uncool MC, Tman Express and Cowboii and more artists who embody the spirit of community, authenticity, and excellence. Together, they help shape an EP that celebrates both emerging and established talent while expanding KMAT’s dynamic sound.

ABOUT CAN YOU FEEL IT?! EMPIRE x MANOR POP-UP
Running from 25 November to 4 December, CAN YOU FEEL IT?! is an immersive audio-visual celebration of South Africa’s dance movement. The pop-up transforms The Manor project space at 44 Stanley into a living gallery and dance floor merging music, art, and community.
This edition features a special installation by self-taught visual artist Sinalo Ngcaba, whose Afro-surrealist work explores Black joy, connection, and movement. She also debuts a limited collaborative merch collection, available only at the pop-up.
Co-produced by Wholesome Baddie and curated by Manor, the experience serves as a creative hub and exclusive tastemaker release platform for EMPIRE’s dance roster.
