Mzansi Number One Pasta Kicks Off the Festive Season With A Fusion Of Afrotalian Vibes

Prepare your taste buds and wardrobe for a sensational experience that transcends continents, as we celebrate the fusion of South African and Italian culture and cuisine with Mzansi’s #1 pasta. Fatti’s & Moni’s was the first brand to bring pasta to our shores in 1906 and has consistently celebrated our heritage by taking the ordinary and making it extraordinary with Afro’talian pasta flavours.

The term ‘Afrotalian’ captures the essence of a thriving community, which is a real and integral part of our South African spirit that is commonly known as AmaTaliano. These are people who immerse themselves in the richness of Italy’s culture and cuisine – the original country of pasta – right here at home.

“Fatti’s & Moni’s is over one hundred years old and believes that you don’t need to be Italian to embrace and enjoy Fattis and Monis Pasta. We repositioned our brand by launching the ‘Always Eat’alian’ campaign because it exemplifies a unique fusion and love for Italian clothes, language, and cuisine, whichhave become a part of our local identity”, said Thembi Sehloho, Tiger Brands, Marketing Director: Rice & Pasta

As the festive season approaches, Fatti’s Moni’s is excited to bring an exclusive Afrotalian Experience to two of Mzansi’s biggest townships: Soweto in Johannesburg and Umlazi in Durban. They are inviting AmaTaliano to join them in celebrating the vibrancy of South African culinary traditions, and the timeless allure of Italian gastronomy. Highlights of the event include Afrotalian pasta dish demonstrations and wine pairing by Chef Mbombi, live music and entertainment, as well as special appearances by Ncumisa Ndelu of Stockpiler and many loved personalities.
