If there’s one person who can keep a secret in the entertainment industry is none than Donald. The Multi-platinum selling artist Donald revealed “Something More”, his fourth studio album .However, this is not just any album, Donald has delivered Africa’s first ever visual album.
The BET nominated R&B and House superstar, managed to keep this project top secret for 10 months as he recorded and shot back-to-back videos for each of the 10 tracks featured on “Something More” until last night. Two days prior the night I received a mystery invitation from Orgella Media written…
“South African R&B & House sensation Donald alongside Universal Music invite you to an exclusive event taking place on Thursday, 18th May. We can’t reveal anymore than that, but this is not one to miss!”
Nobody had an idea what the invitation was about, however because donald has managed to win every one’s heart with his incredible singing talent, the entertainment industry’s who’s who came in numbers to feed their curiosity and to show their support to Donald.
The “Something More” visual album comes at a time where Donald is redefining what it means to be an R&B and House African artist with a global state of mind.
It goes without saying that Donald is one of Africa’s top selling artists, with remarkable talent. He continuously inspire and motivates other youth to have a purpose in #Life.

Over the years Donald’s brand has shown growth, consistency, longevity and evolution, all which bring him to this next phase of his career. With this visual album, Donald is simply saying, “I am here to change the game, push the envelope, inspire, and deliver something more than just music.”
“Something More” visual album features collaborations with Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Saso from Hip-Hop trio Dreamteam and rising star Floda. The visuals are also star-studded with cameos by Masechaba Ndlovu, Bontle Modiselle, Abdul Khoza and Didie Makobane. All ten videos were directed and shot by Pilot Films.
Though all ten songs and videos are available for purchase on all online music stores and Musica stores nationwide as of today, the visual album is led by lead single “Rain Drops” which sees Donald and Tiwa Savage fusing their talents vocally and visually to deliver what can only be described as an international hit record.
Looking clean as always and behaving like a real gentleman Donald explained the importance of being patience and what he went through while busy cooking this anticipated album.
“I must say this was the most difficult project that I’ve ever worked on. It’s my fourth studio album and my first visual album. This is something that I have been dreaming of doing for years but I knew I had to wait for the right time and now is that time. I went through a lot to get this project off the ground and to complete it. There were times where I almost gave up but I knew that this was not just about me, it goes beyond selling records and winning awards. This is all about inspiring young people to dream big and work hard. I did exactly that with this visual album and I am very proud of the work my team and I produced.
