Taste of Cape Town 2026: A World-Class Food Festival Comes to South Africa

One of the world’s most prestigious food and lifestyle festival brands is officially making its way to South Africa. Taste of Cape Town 2026, the South African edition of the globally renowned Taste Festival series, will take place on 28 and 29 November 2026 at Green Point Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

Known for attracting hundreds of thousands of food lovers in cities like London, Paris, Dubai, and São Paulo, the Taste Festival series is celebrated for bringing together top chefs, premium restaurants, artisan producers, live entertainment, and unforgettable culinary experiences in one destination. Now, Cape Town joins that global stage.

Produced by The Allure Group, Taste of Cape Town is designed around the philosophy “Feed Every Sense,” promising an immersive experience that goes beyond food. Guests can expect incredible aromas from live-fire cooking, visually stunning chef demonstrations, vibrant music, artisan markets, and the unique atmosphere of a Cape Town summer evening by the ocean.

The festival will feature a curated lineup of Cape Town’s finest restaurants serving signature dishes made specifically for the event, alongside live cooking masterclasses, chef sessions, international culinary guests, and premium hospitality experiences. The full lineup of chefs and restaurants will be announced from July 2026.

More than just a food event, Taste of Cape Town aims to showcase South Africa’s culinary excellence on an international level. According to Bonnke Shipalana, the festival is intended to be “a national declaration” of the country’s food culture, talent, and creative energy.

Early bird tickets are already available from R400 per person, with the festival expected to become one of Africa’s biggest lifestyle and culinary events.

Cape Town is ready — and November 2026 promises fire, flavour, music, and world-class experiences all in one unforgettable weekend.
