Uyanda Mbuli, well known to be African Fashion Icon,is returning to the screens on Mzansi ‘s popular telenovela,The Queen.
It comes as no surprise then that fans have been waiting for her to return to the big screen and seems like they won’t have to wait much longer.Her return comes after a 14-year-long hiatus from acting .Although she took break from acting but she never stayed away from the big screens.
Uyanda is not new to the world of acting. She was last seen in 2017, acting on her own reality show,Uyanda It’s On,season2, on SABC 3.In 2005, she made her acting debut when she appeared as Nomonde in the SABC1 drama series called Tshisa.She then spread her wings internationally,in 2007, where she played the role of Stephanie Hall in a musical comedy in the United States.
This businesswoman seems to has always been at the fore-front of changing how our African stories were told. She is a former SABC1 Publicity Manager and also former board member of Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) : one of the key funding institutions for local television & film productions.
The Queen viewers are in for a real treat and fans and can’t not wait to know more about her new character.
