The Who’s who of Mzansi Film and television kicked started their weekend on on Friday morning on a high note during the South African Film & Television Awards (SAFTAS) 13. I had to woke up early inAs I got to attend t morning around 4 in the morning to prepare to drive to this exclusive nominees announcement event which was held at the Ster-Kinekor The Zone ,in Johannesburg .It has been about three years now since i got to attend the nominees event and the main event ,special thanks to McCafe for making all this possible!
Under the theme Dare to Dream ,the main event will be hosted at the expected venue,in Sun City,in Bokone Bophirima on the 02 March 2019. The award ceremony will be broadcast live on SABC2,Superbowl.
This year the film and television celebrates those who dare to dream.Despite the challenges of funds these dreamers place no limitations on their goals. I relate so much to the this year’s them because i’m a hustler and a dreamer!
The aim of the SAFTAs annual awards ceremony is to honour ,celebrate and promote the creativity ,the quality and excellence of the South African film and television talent and productions .The awards also encourage entrepreneurship and develop new within the industry.
The nominees who have been announced from 92 categories,are dreamers who were picked by over 200 industry experts from various provinces.
