The power of holy spirit took over on August 06,on the first leg of the highly anticipated annual Mahika Mahikeng cultural music festival 2018 during the Gospel show,held at Mmabatho Convention center. It was an inspiring and worship night which left gospel lovers felt close to God. 
The Gospel concert organised by the Department of Culture, Arts and Traditional Affairs (Cata) opened the week of festivities with a high note of prayer and blessings for all the MahikaMahika activities that will take place throughout the weekend ( 06 August – 09 August ).
The event brought together people from all walks of life. From the beginning of the concert, people were singing, dancing, praising the good Lord. The Gospel night featured the top names in the South African Gospel music industry. The were so many highlights of the night which reminded many about their musical gospel roots, literally!
When artists such as Ntokozo Mbabo, Lebo Segkgopela, Dr Tumi and Benjamini Dube went on stage, an atmosphere of praise and worship filled the entire convention centre. Everyone, young and old, danced and sang along to their fav songs. These individuals gospel singers with their fresh, contemporary gospel sound are just some of the highlights of the night . They had their supporters on their feet throughout their performances . The crowd begged for more when the night came to an end, before hoarding their gospel idols for selfies and live interactions.
