Inverroche Distillery has been named Africa’s Leading Distillery Tour 2026 at the World Travel Awards, marking the third consecutive year that the Stilbaai distillery has received the title.
The World Travel Awards recognise excellence across the global travel, tourism and hospitality sectors and are widely regarded as one of the industry’s most prestigious awards programmes.
The award recognises Inverroche’s immersive visitor experience, where guests can discover the sights, scents and stories behind the brand’s fynbos-infused spirits while exploring one of South Africa’s most remarkable coastal regions.
Located in Stilbaai along South Africa’s Garden Route, Inverroche’s distillery is surrounded by the landscapes that inspired the brand from the very beginning. Nestled within the Cape Floral Kingdom, visitors are immersed in a region known for its extraordinary biodiversity and natural beauty.
It was here that founder Lorna Scott established Inverroche in 2011, developing a gin inspired by the indigenous fynbos surrounding her home. Inverroche went on to become the first distillery to use Cape fynbos as a defining botanical in its gin.
Visitors can enjoy guided distillery tours, discover the unique fynbos botanicals used in Inverroche’s spirits and even create and bottle their own bespoke gin under the guidance of the distilling team.
