A Campaign That Celebrates Unsung Heroines And Gives Back TO The Community

Heritage month provides an opportunity for the nation to embrace their diverse culture and heritage. Tastic Rice has embarked on a national campaign with iconic women to honour unsung heroines for the month of September. This month also signifies a key milestone for the brand as it celebrates 60 years of perfect partnerships with its consumers and the women of South Africa.

The brand has partnered with iconic women like Noxolo Grootboom, Basetsana Kumalo, Dudu Khoza and PJ Powers, who embody the spirit of generosity through their love, commitment and scarifies both seen and unseen from being at the heart of building homes, communities and unifiers of our great nation.

Dudu Khoza has lent her time to anchoring the Durban edition which is built across the principles of giving back in a manner that brings people together. This was done through an celebratory dinner that honoured the many unsung heroines who pioneer the everyday struggles to make their communities a better place and a Tastic Rice ATM in Umlazi.

Sibongile MaSithole Msomi runs the Siyanakekela We Care Rehabilitation Centre which aims to empower the community by dedicating themselves to helping orphaned children, providing counselling services for the youth, HIV/AIDS care and support programmes.

Our unsung hero Sibongile MaSithole Msomi along with her staff at Siyanakekela ” We Care Rehabilitation Centre” in Umlazi E section play a significant role in the community and it has been evident throughout the past few years. It is for this reason why Tastic rice has showcased their little acts of kindness to the organisation by donating R10 000.00 towards the work they do.

On the 16th September 2021 an honorary dinner with the unsung heroines of Durban and celebrities was held at Oyster Box Umhlanga where radio personality Nonhlanhla Mroza Buthelezi, actress Brenda Mhlongo, Radio show host Selby Mkhize, DJ Happygal and many other others were In attendance. The proceedings were run by Nonkanyiso LaConco  who later gave the floor to Dj Lamiez Holworthy as guests danced the night way.

“On the 17th of September 2021 Tastic and I called upon the community of uMlazi at Umlazi mega city to come make use of the Tastic Rice ATM that supplied over 400 consumers with free rice that was withdrawn from this ATM” Continues Khoza

The rice brand is proud of their unique ATM as it’s catered to the community of Seshego in Polokwane, the community of Umlazi and soon the Western Cape province. Consumers are encouraged to stay tuned to the Tastic Rice social media platforms for more information on where the Rice ATM will be.
