On Saturday night, 8 December, Mmabatho convention center was fully parked with people who understands very well what it means by” Laughter is a good medicine,”.Featuring the best of South African comedians that money can buy, the comedy show which was the second leg of the annual Mahika Mahikeng Cultural Festival , exploded into a night of laughter. Anchoring the night was the 2017 Savanna comic award winner ,Radio DJ and television host, Skhumba Hlophe.
Everybody had their fav.The audience’s laughter became like a non-stop song. The line-up featured the hippest comedians who used their mother tongue so they can connect with audience.In most cases some jokes get lost in translation, so this was a great opportunity for people to hear and understand jokes in other South African languages.The lineup included Roni Modimola,Sales Man,Tumi stopnons,Chris Mapane,summary,Tshekedi monyemore,vara and isuru. The highlights of the night are the two comedians whom happened to be my fav .Mashabela and Sales man.
As the night came to an end mashebela who made sex talk so funny and unpacked the difficulties couples go through in marriage. It was few minutes packed with all things that couples and singletons can identify with. Bringing the lighter side to challenges, day-to-day life and all things funny in a marriage. It was not for the faint hearted!
Last but not list Botjisha aka Sales man aka Man of God, who survived a car accident few months ago. Despite all,that hasn’t stopped him from being the funniest ,who got his audience laughed louder and left them in stitches than ever before.
