Today on the 27th May 2016 at celebrated the National Tekkie Tax Day in style. Thanks to the NWU Mafikeng Campus disability office for giving us a pair of our funky shoelaces called “Tekkie Tags” (sticker included)
The National Tekkie Tax Day is a fundraising campaign for Non-profit Organization’s. It has been part of the South African calendar for 3 years already and will be celebrated on the 27th of May this year.
Many students were not aware for this day ,and they did not know the importance of it.However, the Mafikeng Campus disability office have done a great job by not only selling the colourful funky shoelaces but also raised awareness of the importance of supporting days like this.
The mother of the disability office well known as “Ausi Vidda” always say you don’t need to be rich to make a difference in someone’s life but the little time and little money you give with your heart open is worth millions.
