Last night our South African artists come out in numbers with their stylish Red Carpet looks. Music was the language everyone spoke under the theme ” Yesterday, today and tomorrow”of the night.The SAMA24 nominations were unveiled at a glittering function held at Birchwood Hotel in Ekurhuleni , attended by industry heavyweights and the stars that make the South African music industry sparkle the brightest.
Top South African bands Mafikizolo and Mi Casa and elegant songbird Simphiwe Dana proved their staying power when they swept the boards at the SAMA24 nominees.
The #SAMA24 record of the year nominees will be announced on Friday on the SABC show, Liveamp and the top five categories (including best newcomer) will be announced in May.
The awards will take place on 2 June at The Sun City Resort and will be aired at 20:00 on SABC1.
Nominees in the top five categories of Male Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Duo/Group of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Album of the Year will be announced early next month.
